This is a rant on the stupid logic of dubs.
WHAT IS DUBS?
dubbing or looping is the process of recording or replacing voices for a motion picture. The term is most commonly used in reference to voices recorded that do not belong to the original actors and speak in a different language than the actor is speaking. “Dubbing” can also be used to describe the process of re-recording lines by the actor who originally spoke them. This process is technically known as automated dialogue replacement, or ADR.
WHY DO I HATE IT?
1) Orginal Tone intended by the directors of the flim is ruined.
WTF? Am i right? Look at this. If you dub a flim, for example, the flim is in Cantonese and some @ss dub it, the orginal taste of the flim might not be there. AND WHAT FOR DIRECTORS WANT TO SPEND SO MUCH MONEY ON THE ACTORS FOR THEIR VOICES? WTF.
2) Give the staff who created the flim some credit.
To be, dubbing is like, stealing somebodies voice, and claim that it is yours. This is ridulious isn’t it? Im appalled that while people are cracking down on piracy, they don’t seem to care whether dubbing is “overwriting” the orginal people.
3) CAN’T YOU SEE THAT DUBBING MAKES THE FLIM MORE EXPENSIVE?
That applies especially to the china dubbers. WTF you want to make the flim more expensive by employing freaking dubbers? Is the DRAMA a slient drama? Can’t you just stick to your subtitles and not go overboard?
Existing negative influence on dubbing
My classmates were talking about full metal achemist. Then when they said about a guy or sth, they said some chinese name, which i cant comprehend. Haix. Since i cant even recall, let me give you a good example.
Boy X: Hey, you know Tian Zhong (田中(Tanaka)) Won the battle of Mian Jiang (勉強(benkyou))?
(Chinese meaning. You know that Tian Zhong won the battle of Struggling?)
BUT IN JAPANESE, THIS IS WHAT THEY MEAN
(Japanese : You know that Tanaka won the battle of studying?)
wow~~~ I cant believe it!
I would get the feeling. It’s annoying, isn’t it?
You should have seen Filipino dubs of Japanese anime, though. They are total abominations.
